SPSS has changed - that is a good thing

After finding myself back in school (after 30+ years) I needed to relearn SPSS. The last time I used SPSS, it involved entering commands onto punch cards, sending them thru a card reader and waiting for output.
This book is about the modernized version of SPSS, and steps you thru the process of using recent versions of the software. It is not particularly useful in learning statistical analysis, but along with the Introductory book it is very helpful in navigating the new SPSS.

Does a nice job of facilitating a solid fundamental level of SPSS skill (using dialog boxes - not much in way of syntax). I use as a supplementary text in a grad multivariate data analysis class I teach. Not a fan of the mediation chapter as I find it more helpful/useful to students to teach Baron and Kenny approach utilizing regression; but, overall the content is helpful to those with scant SPSS/data analysis background, and students seem to appreciate the straight-forward distilling of fundamental concepts and SPSS skills the book presents.

Need some fine tunning but overall, great book

Super friendly to use, but I don't like that the workbook is in the back and I continually had to reference to it. Wished it had been within the chapter.
