Short, hot read

Caitlin is completely in love with her fiance, Nathan, and she is shocked when he offers to give her a threesome with him and his best friend. Sure, she likes reading dirty menage stories in her books, but has never considered trying one in her real life. Nathan and his friend Liam have shared women in the past, but Cait thought it was just that... the past.

Once Liam arrives for a visit from the military, Cait is a wreck. At first, she is fearful that Nathan is dissatisfied with their relationship. Then she starts to wonder what it might be like to take him up on his offer. She is nervous, uncomfortable and embarrassed. But when the men approach her in just the right way, she decides to put her fears aside and give it a try.

This is a short, hot read. The sex is good and I like that the author did not try to turn a HFN into a HEA. But I felt like the story was divided into two parts: the first half, where Cait is obsessing about whether or not to have the threesome; and the second half, which details the sex. I appreciate the effort that the author puts in to show us that Cait is loyal to Nathan, but her indecision was too pronounced in a story of this length. If it were a longer story, I could see it, but when the whole story is 45 pages, 22 of them is too long for waffling.

When we do get to the good stuff, it's pretty tame for a menage, but I did enjoy it. The foreplay, especially is quite effective. A fun, quick read.

An erotic delight with plenty of emotion and just enough story to make you love the characters

This is the first book I have read from from Croix and what a treat it was. No hold Barred was an erotic delight with plenty of emotion and just enough story to make you love the characters. It was not your typical menage read with a bunch of characters willing to jump in bed and act like emotions and jealously would not affect the dynamic between the three (not that I don't love those as well). But it is a fresh take and more realistic to what might actually transpire between a couple deeply committed to each other and their best friend. I also loved Croix's military alpha male characters, not domineering but sexually dominate, it all adds up to a sexy encounter.

Loved the honesty to this book....

Whoa, what an incredible erotic read. This very short novella is about an engaged couple, Nathan & Cait. Cait reads erotica featuring menage and Nathan really wants to fulfill this fantasy for her. The perfect opportunity arises when their mutual friend, Liam, comes to visit for the weekend before his assignment heading out to Afghanistan.

Cait may be aroused by the idea, but she does NOT want them to have a menage. She worries about what it will do to their relationship. She feels shame at her arousal by Liam. She is worried that if they do this then Nate will view her differently and it will change their wonderful relationship. This book is so honest in what Cait is feeling. It just rang really true. The book is incredibly hot, but through it all you feel Cait's doubts and her incredible love for Nate.

Nate & Liam are best friends and have shared women before, so he knows that if he can trust anyone with this woman that he loves, he can trust Liam. He also knows that Liam is attracted to her and honestly respects her. He is very conscious of the fact that Cait is uncomfortable with the idea, but he also knows her well enough to be able to tell that she is really turned on by the idea.

Like I said the entire book has a really honest feel about it. Menage is one of those fantasy things and most books treat it like that without the reality of the doubts that can come from it. This book touches on all those doubts, but still manages to keep the entire feel incredibly sexy and arousing. Callie Croix knows how to write some seriously sexy scenes...whoa!! I really liked the way that she handled it at the end for Nate. Like I said, it has a true feeling to the story that you can't help but love! Gorgeous writing. I plan to check out more by this author!

This reference complements other American Sign Language (ASL) dictionaries by organizing signs by handshape rather than alphabetically by English word order. In so doing, it acts best as a recognition tool for the ASL learner, leading the user quickly to specific signs without having first to refer to an English-equivalent word. Multiple meanings of a single sign also allow deaf people to increase their English vocabulary. Like other ASL dictionaries, introductory material includes a brief synopsis of the history of sign language, the meaning and importance of the five parameters of a sign (handshape, orientation, location, movement, and nonmanual signals), grammatical rules, sign language variations (dialects), and finger-spelling principles. Tennant, a former mathematics instructor, and Gluszak Brown, a certified ASL interpreter, have provided a unique organization in their dictionary. But readers should note that a handshape is not a sign itself but rather a characteristic of a particular sign. The first Real ASL dictionary.

I have quite a collection of ASL dictionaries, because I am deaf but didn't learn ASL until later in life. Now I am in science education, and I still need the dictionaries to write about the differences in ASL and English when translating science curricula. This is the best dictionary on the market today. The author used the format they use for most other dictionaries when going from English to that language and back. Only in ASLs case instead of written words as the phonemes or morphemes, you have handshapes. As the other reviewer stated, with this dictionary you can go from English to ASL, and deaf people can go from known handshapes to the most representative English word. Up til this point there was no dictionary for the Deaf to use to refer back to the English words. This is also the only format where you don't have to go hunting through the book for what you are looking for. Like all written mediums for dictionaries and ASL its only problem is its two dimensional presentation. However, the work they put into finally making a dictionary in the right way for ASL far outweighs the two dimensional concern. Finally!

Finally a book that allows you to search for signs based on their handshape. Many ASL students have difficulty understanding ASL users. This book gives them a better chance to look up signs to comprehend them instead of using looking up an English gloss to learn what THEY want to say! The only drawback? Not enough! This book should be expanded. I hope to see more signs included in the next edition. (There will be a next edition right?)

always good to stay with a classic

This is a book that was recommended by my consultant which had helped her prepare for her Paces exam and I must say this book is highly relevant and has many of the common cases that is considered 'bread and butter' by the RCP.

Each case highlights how to approach the patient in the exam, what kind of questions to ask to obtain a thorough and relevant history and is followed by a list of differentials and investigations required as well as additional questions the examiner may ask at the end of the station.

I understand that there is a newer edition to reflect the recent changes made to the MRCP Paces exam. Have not checked out the new edition yet so I don't know how it fares against this older copy though

they have a section of previous experiences and stations plus quotations from candidates and examiners

I was very excited to read this. My excitement dwindled very quickly. I'm about halfway through, and am only powering through to the end to see if I can find more gems like these:

"Do not cover food with cling film, as after awhile it becomes sticky and unpleasant."

"We are powerless against disease, death, and nightmares, but our tidy cupboards stand as proof that we can, and do, control our own tiny corner of the universe."

Basically, if you want to read an extremely dramatized version of your to-do list, this book is definitely for you. However, I did learn that I should always clean my washbasin after I use it, and close my cereal packets neatly and firmly before putting them away. So, not a complete loss.

The author is great at communicating exactly what she believes you need to do (down to dictating the exact number of shoes and scarves you need in your wardrobe) but does not tackle HOW to do any of it. Platitudes and quotes from better authors are used to insufficiently explain WHY you should take her advice, but really there is extremely little content here. Very disappointed.

The author presents an easy to digest collection of practical advice in "L'art de la Simplicite: How to Live More with Less".

The suggestions are simple and make sense for anyone who's looking to see positive results. For example, spend less on short term treats, find out what's hidden away and get rid or donate them if they are not used or make us happy.

A very useful suggestion is take a realistic position and not say YES to every invitation for dinner and outings that come our way. Alternatively, limit the time you stay for dinner and that's a good way to connect with friends, but not blow the dining out budget.

Overall, Dominique Loreau has provided an excellent selection of advice on "how to live more with less".

This book has changed my life in every aspect! I have learned what simplicities to keep in my life and what to discard, how to take better care of myself, how to approach my eating, sleeping, mental well being all of which have heightened my creative side and my love for things I never thought I would ever have TIME to try. I started by getting rid of so many things that had brought me down for years without realizing it.. I'm an interior designer and my feelings about how I design even have changed radically, to the better. I learned how important it is to simplify your money and in turn created a very budget that I live by now. Simplicity in all aspects of my life. Elegance, grace in everything I do. It is truly the secret to living life.
I really needed to read this book and truly believe an angel set it in front of me one day at a bookstore. Do yourself a favor, buy this, and practice her words. I guarantee you will feel a million times happier and filled with elegant grace.
